Important Information

Classes are held once weekly - Wednesdays from 7 PM to 8 PM (AST). Assignments are given each Monday with a submission deadline of each Friday of every week. Assignments are graded, and returned before the start of the next class. Towards the end of this program, students are required to take a certification examination. If successful, students will become certified members within our Christian Counseling Association, and graduate during our annual graduation ceremonies in December. Grades will be structured on the basis of attendance, participation, EARLY assignment completion/submission, and final examination.

Course Overview

The Certificate in Christian Counseling (CCC) is designed for persons interested in integrating faith and counseling to facilitate helping individuals, couples, and families from a spiritual context. Ministers, church leaders, and church members seeking to minister within their local churches and communities will utilize this certificate that provides coursework in counseling from a Christian perspective. Becoming a Certified Christian Counselor through ​Royalty International University of Theological Education, graduates can expect to make a positive difference in the world today. ​By taking full advantage of our foundation & specialization courses in Christian Counseling, you will be well educated & trained to offer effective faith-based counseling in a variety of settings. Pastoral Counseling

This program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of pastoral care, counseling, and therapy in a religious context. This program will help students develop the knowledge and skills required to provide effective pastoral care services to individuals, families, and communities. ​ Through a biblical and theological lens, the program emphasizes the study of mental health and its impact on human behavior, relationships, spirituality, and faith. It involves a combination of theoretical study, practical experience, and personal reflection to develop compassionate and competent pastoral counselors who can provide both clinical counseling services and spiritual guidance. ​The program covers a range of topics, including counseling theories and techniques, pastoral care models, human development, ethics and legal responsibilities, trauma and crisis intervention, and cross-cultural counseling. Students will also learn how to address specific issues like addiction, grief and loss, abuse, and marital and family conflicts. The program includes fieldwork experiences in counseling settings such as hospitals, churches, non-profit organizations, and private practices. This provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world situations, and gain practical experience working with diverse populations. ​Graduates of the program will be well-equipped to serve as pastoral counselors/therapists, chaplains, youth ministers, or social service professionals in various settings such as churches, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and community organizations. They can also pursue advanced studies in counseling, theology, or related fields.

The Master of Arts in Divinity (Clinical Mental Health Counseling & Psychology Concentration) is a graduate program designed for students who wish to integrate their Christian faith with skills and knowledge in mental health counseling. Psychology

This program is designed for students who wish to integrate their Christian faith with the practice of counseling. The program emphasizes a practical and hands-on approach to counseling, with a focus on the integration of psychological and theological concepts. Students in this program will gain in-depth knowledge of counseling theories, research methodologies, and counseling techniques. They will also develop a strong understanding of the intersection between counseling and theology and how this can inform their counseling practice. The program is designed for working professionals who have already earned a Master of Arts in Divinity degree or its equivalent. Students will participate in online coursework that includes synchronous and asynchronous learning activities. The program culminates in a dissertation that demonstrates the student's ability to apply counseling concepts to a real-world counseling situation. The PhD in Ministry (Psychology Concentration) program prepares graduates for careers as in counseling-related professions in ministry, community-based institutions, or private practice.
